Hard-wearing means strong, durable, resilient.
 
Which kind of material do you think is more hard-wearing?
 
Which do you think is more hard-wearing from the choice of these two?
 
1. A solid wooden cup.
2. A porcelain or ceramic cup.
 
It can be tricky. Of course, wood is subject to decay, however if you drop a wooden cup, it is hardly going to break, whereas the ceramic cup will smash in an instant. Wood, it’s natural, it’s hard-wearing. Actually, it’s a good choice.

 

 

 

Tips for learning English

Learning and speaking English is not easy. If you are taking the IELTS exam or the CAE Cambridge C1 exam, this website will be helpful for you. 

If you are learning English from the beginning is it necessary to start with elementary level. You need to learn simple vocabulary, verbs, adjectives and nouns and start making sentences which are relevant to you and your life and interests.

There are many free resources online. I will add some links to this post later on. But you can try using things like google translate for free, then you can try using different text books. There are many videos by teachers on youtube, There are podcasts and websites like my website with lots of information.
