One point, four states
How many states meet here?
1NASA shared a new picture on 8 October 2026. It shows a place in the United States. The place is called the Four Corners. Four states meet at one point here.
2The states are Utah, Colorado, New Mexico and Arizona. This is the only place in the United States where four states meet at one point.
3Terra took the picture on 5 October. Terra is a satellite: a machine in space. The land has many brown colours. There are grey lines on the picture. People added these lines to show the state borders.
4Look at the photo. Can you find the meeting point? Follow the grey lines. The lines help us read the picture.
