英语冠词a、an和the

1. 什么时候用a？
第一次提到一个单数可数名词，而且下一个词以辅音音素开头时，用a。
a book 一本书

university虽然以字母u开头，但是第一个音是/j/，所以说a university。
2. 什么时候用an？
下一个词以元音音素开头时，用an。判断时要听声音，不只看字母。
an apple 一个苹果
an office 一间办公室
an hour 一小时
hour中的h不发音，所以第一个音是元音，要说an hour。
3. 什么时候用the？
双方都知道
Close the door.
把门关上。说话双方知道是哪一扇门。
再次提到
I have a dog. The dog is friendly.
我有一只狗。这只狗很友好。
